Purpose
This patch ensures that your Octeth v5.0.1 or older installations continue to function seamlessly after a critical update scheduled for Monday, April 8th, 2024. It is essential to apply this patch to avoid any service disruptions.
Instructions
- Backup Current File: Before proceeding, back up your current
tags2.inc.php
file located in<octeth_install_dir>/includes/classes/
. This step is crucial to revert changes if needed. - Download and Unzip: Download the patch file. Unzip the downloaded file
to find the
tags2.inc.php
file. - Apply the Patch: Upload and replace the existing
tags2.inc.php
file in your Octeth installation at<octeth_install_dir>/includes/classes/
with the one provided in this patch. - Delete Cache File: Navigate to
<octeth_install_dir>/data/tmp/
and delete the cache file. It might have a name similar to2d2064563b69f416a8a08768df669f02
. Deleting this file is necessary for the changes to take effect immediately. - Verify the Patch: Try logging into your Octeth admin dashboard. If you can log in without encountering any license errors, the patch has been successfully applied.
