Octeth AI Copywriting Assistance plug-in is a powerful tool that helps email marketers to quickly generate engaging email subject, plain text, and HTML email contents. It eliminates the need to spend long hours creating content from scratch and enables you to create high-quality content in minutes.
Installation
Obtaining OpenAI API Key
To use Octeth AI Copywriting Assistance plug-in, you will need an OpenAI API key. To obtain one,
- go to the OpenAI website and sign up for an account.
- Once you have created an account, log in and navigate to the “API Keys” section.
- Click on the “Create New Key” button and fill in the required information.
- Once you have completed the form, click “Create Key” to generate your API key.
- Make sure to save the API key in a secure location as you will need it to activate the plug-in.
Plug-In Installation
To install Octeth AI Copywriting Assistance plug-in, first login to your Octeth Client Area and download the plug-in. If you can’t see the plug-in on your account, contact the Octeth Team via hello@octeth.com.
Once the ZIP file is downloaded, SSH to the Octeth server, go to /opt/oempro/plugins/
directory, create “ai” directory with mkdir ai
command, go into this directory cd ai
, upload the zip file into this directory and unzip it by running unzip octeth-ai-dist.zip
file.
Copy the “.env.example” to “.env” by running command: cp .env.example .env
and edit it.
Paste your OpenAI API key as the value to the “OPENAI_API_KEY” variable.
Here’s the complete command sequence:
cd /opt/oempro/plugins/
mkdir ai
cd ai/
cp /path/from/octeth-ai-dist.zip /opt/oempro/plugins/ai/octeth-ai-dist.zip
unzip octeth-ai-dist.zip
cp .env.example .env
vi .env
How To Use
Once the plug-in is installed and the OpenAI API key is set, the next step is to enable the plug-in.
Login to your Octeth admin area, go to Settings > Plugins
section and click Enable
next to the AI
plug-in.
Once it’s enabled, make sure Simplified email campaign create
feature is enabled for the user group that you would like to activate the AI plug-in.
Go to [Admin Area → Users → User Groups] section and edit the user group you would like to enable this feature.
In user group settings, you will see the option Activate simplified campaign create UI flow”
. Simply activate it.
Once this step is done, the next step is to login to the user area and create a new campaign.
You will see AI Assistance
link below email subject line, HTML content, and plain text email content sections.
If you have enabled Stripo drag-n-drop email builder, you will see AI Assistance
button on the top menu.
Once any of these links is clicked, the plug-in will ask you what kind of email you are sending.
Explain the email you would like to send to your audience and click the “Generate” button. It will take a few minutes to generate the AI content. You can copy the suggested content and finalize your email content.
