Harnessing Octeth's Advanced Personalization and Repeating Campaign Features: A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Daily Horoscope Email Campaign
Harness the power of Octeth's advanced personalization engine and repeating campaign features to create a unique and engaging email campaign. This isn't just about replacing merge tags with recipient information. With Octeth, you can take personalization to the next level by using remote and dynamic content personalization.
When you combine these features, you can create some truly unique email campaigns. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up a daily horoscope email service. This is just one example of the many creative ways you can use Octeth's features to engage your audience. Let's get started.
Step 1: Set Up the Subscriber List and Custom Fields
First, you'll need to create a new subscriber list. You can do this in the user area:
Once you've created your list, go to the list dashboard and click on the "Custom Fields" link on the left menu. Here, you'll create a custom field to store the zodiac sign of each recipient. Name this custom field "Zodiac Sign".
Step 2: Set Up the Daily Repeating Email Campaign
Next, navigate to the "Campaigns > Email Campaigns" section and click on the "Create New Campaign" button on the top right.
As with a regular campaign, you'll need to set the target audience (choose the list you just created), excluded audience, and sender information.
For the email subject, use the following format:
Daily Horoscope Review Email - %Subscriber:CustomField142% / %Date=jS M, Y%
This will personalize the email subject line based on the recipient's zodiac sign and the email delivery date. For example, it might read:
Daily Horoscope Review Email - Scorpio / 10th August, 2023
Step 3: Create the Email Content
Click on the "Open Email Builder" button to open the drag-n-drop email builder.
Here, you can create the email layout based on your preference. Once you're done, close the email builder.
Step 4: Convert HTML Content Into Plain Text
After creating your email layout, it's important to convert the HTML content into a plain text version.
This ensures that your email is recipient-friendly and can be easily read on all devices. To do this, simply click the "Convert HTML Content Into Plain Text" button. Octeth will automatically convert the HTML email content you've just created into a plain text version.
Step 5: Schedule the Email Campaign
Schedule the email campaign to be sent every day at 9 AM. Once you've done this and saved your email campaign, it will be auto-triggered by Octeth every morning at 9 AM.
The content will be fetched from the remote source, the Zodiac logo will be inserted, and the email will be sent to recipients. Each recipient will receive their daily horoscope based on their Zodiac sign.
In this guide, we've shown you how to set up a basic daily horoscope email using Octeth's powerful personalization and repeating campaign features.
You can also apply this approach to other topics such as daily news, daily finance news, latest product updates, and more. The possibilities are only limited by your creativity!
